I really like the front chrome grill that can be purchased on ebay but wasn’t ready to spend approx $130 plus so I decided to paint the grill chrome. My 2010 LTZ front grill was light gray vs the LT2 & LT1 that are black but the light gray still isn't chrome. I went to my local PPG paint shop and purchase automotive chrome spray paint can for $7 bucks and used automotive paint because it has UV blocker clear coat. I figured for $7 buck and a couple hours were worth my time vs $130 new grill from ebay. I masked off the radiator with poster board and the front of the car with newspaper. I was really surprised how good it turned out, its not exact match but I would grade it at 92% A-. When you are about 6-12” away you can see it doesn’t have that mirror chrome look but anything over a foot looks awesome for $7 bucks. I love chrome on my black granite metallic LTZ, I am now trying to figure out if the chrome roof rail on the Buick Enclave will fit on my Traverse.

Great job and a nice idea to do it yourself. I really like how it turned out.

The OEM grills are not to hard to remove once you remove the engine compartment cover.

It may make painting them easier for anyone wanting to try this.

Not a fan chrome but I must say that it matches the color of your TRaverse.
