Hello all,

I've been trying out the USB port and am so far a bit disappointed. I've tried multiple MP3 players and none have linked with the
head unit. The only use so far is that I can charge my Google Nexus One phone using the USB cable that came with my phone.

I think the only way to really use music via the USB port is by using a flashdrive which I probably won't bother with.

Ford has Microsoft Sync and uses USB and a Hard Drive installed along with their head unit and that seems to be a better configuration if you're going to the trouble of adding an optional USB port.

Also, I have the Bose system, but not Bluetooth, again another shortsighted configuration and will probably end-up just replacing my
headunit with one that has compatibility with bluetooth and HD radio. :banghead:

Can a bluetooth kit be added to the factory head unit?

Thanks for your thoughts and 2 cents. . . .

I just installed a Parrot mki9100 blue tooth kit into my Traverse today. I purchased a HF-GM-TH3-AMK harness. It's all plug and play. The only issues is the complete lack of good 12 volt switch power supply. So I had to run one from the main fuse panel from under the hood.

I have a non bose system but they make a cable for the bose as well.

So now I have bluetooth and this kit has a line in, USB and IPOD interface. All though it only supports newer iPods.

Thanks the parrot bluetooth solution sounds like a good one and I saw one other forum member
mention it so I'm going to have to go that route it looks like.

Thanks again !

What MP3 players are you trying to use? I do know not all are supported but the ipods I have tried all work great. If you do not already know I am a saleperson at a dealership.

Hi Dan!

I will have my daughter try her 2nd gen iPOD Nano next time she runs an errand. So far I tried my couple of smartphones I use on t-mobile's netwwork.

Good to know iPOD should work and I wonder if Sansa will work too.

Thanks again and nice to have a dealership employee amongst us.
