After riding around town with the family Wife driving (Hehehe) my neck is sore I am taller than my Wife and she does not mind, but
it feels like my neck and the vertibraes in my neck are getting rearranged in a bad way.

I would like to know if there are any other head rests that would fit and do a better job than trying to propel me forwards
I have a stiff neck this morning from riding in the ride yesterday.
This is my biggest knock against the Traverse, not impressed with this one to say the least, also the passenger side of the 2LT doesn't have
the sort of adjustments the driver has so it makes it even more uncomfortable for passengers.

My new mission is to find better headrests that fit and do a better job, or else I won't be going on any distance runs in this ride :banghead:

I have seen this mentioned in a few threads but then nothing else has come up since as way of solution
This needs a remedy fast  Let the discussions or suggestions begins

Took the headrest out and turned it around works like a charm for sleeping not sure if this is safety approved but it was comfortable :stop:

My guess is if you've turned it around that it won't lock into place (I think the rods are cut only on one side). I sat in the second row of a 2010 yesterday and played a little with the front seat headrest, but I didn't take it out and try to install it the opposite direction. Even installed in the reverse direction, I can't imagine it being a safety issue.

well I will have to find someone with a Stlth saw or grinder to notch the opposite side then
I'm thinking about this while I writing, and this really sucks that I should have to resort to doing this in
order to be comfortable aaaarrrrgggggghhhh (@#$%^&) a few choice words sprinkled in for Chevy/GM

Your next option (and one I might pursue) is to take them to an upholstery shop and see if they can make you a new set that will be more comfortable. Just a thought.

I will keep you all posted logged a complaint with GM, and GM Canada I will wait and see what their response and the outcome is a keep you posted, i'm keeping my fingers crossed
they will have a solution that will remedy the situation, I am going to compare Chevy to Toyota as far a customer service and satisfaction Toyota has been Excellent so lets hope Chevy matches that

ArsenalGunner, I turned my headrests around also. This is a nice short term fix but leaves too much space between your head and the headrest. This would be dangerous in a rearend collision. Please find a solution and post it for the rest of us sore necks out there.

Well the solution won't be soon. I wrote GM and they responded, basically it was nice to hear from you we like your feedback now go get a life and don't bother us anymore
btw if you need to contact us in the near future you are welcome not that we are going to do anything for you but you can contact us....

If anyone wants to see their response PM me and I will send it to you but I won't post it in public.

I am very disappointed that this PC response from GM, but they are not Toyota, and it has really come to light.
I can only do one thing and that is when I'm ready to upgrade my ride now that I have updated my wife's and that it Won't be a GM made that's for sure
I was actually liking the G8 won't put anymore of my hard earned $$ supporting this brand
There I have said my peace

I will find a solution, on my own somehow and let you all know

It is not a head REST, but a head RESTRAINT. . . there for your safety, not comfort.

Ruffled some feathers did I?
I am entitled to say what I think and so do you, but don't tell me that I should get a stiff neck grin and bear it
each time I ride in this vehicle, because it's from my safety.
My other cars have had restraints they were but for safety and comfort

Made a post and some how it's vanished hmmm Mods @ work.
Well I ruffled a few feathers did I. Are you saying then that a head restraint system should be uncomfortable.
All my other cars have a head RESTRAINT, and they are both comfortable and provides what they are meant to.

In any respects I have gotten a Call from GM and I am somewhat OK with Her explaination, so I will exploere my own solution
since one won't be provided by GM.

If I may.

We are entitled to say what we think as long as fits within the Terms of Service that we all agreed to when we signed up for this forum. I am a member of various other bulletin boards and forums and have seen administrators give people long vacations or ban them entirely (usually for more severe statements, personal attacks, sharing political beliefs, and/or abusive language) for repeatedly pushing the envelope.

I am sure we all can relate to your level of frustration in this matter. I hope you are able to find a reasonable and satisfying solution.

Thanks.

I don't think I said anything out of Turn, I was merely pointing out the difference in customer service and what one company goes to to ensure you are fully satisfied, and what the other does by offering you lip service on sorry you have this issue but there isn't anything we are going to do for you @ the moment or anytime soon.
Think I'm entitled to say that wouldn't you say? I shouldn't be scolded for making my point, I'm the one with the discomfort! I didn't offend anyone or tried to...

I don't think you said anything out of line. And the bulk of my post was in no way directed toward you.

The post you made before my last one pointed to a post that has (supposedly) been removed--your comment, "Made a post and some how it's vanished hmmm Mods @ work." The only two lines of my post directed at you were the last two--"I am sure we all can relate to your level of frustration in this matter. I hope you are able to find a reasonable and satisfying solution."

The rest of my post was a point of fact directed at no one in particular. The mods (apparently) saw something they didn't approve of and (apparently) removed it. That is totally within their authority. I was reinforcing the point you made.

Thanks for reading. I hope this clears up any confusion.

I don't really understand the issue with the headrests. I had to stop and raise the headrest even before I could even test drive a Traverse (the same was true with the Enclave.) I'm 6 feet tall and the headrest in its lowered position presses into the back of my shoulders. However, with it raised a click or two, I find it to be entirely unobtrusive and even in a comfortable position should I want to tilt my head back onto it.

I don't get how the headrest can be a problem if you just drive with it raised up a bit. That's what I do in most cars anyway.

Safe driving. :shades:

Go sit on the passenger side and ride around town for a day, then have someone behind you so you can't drop the seat back a whole lot then come back and tell us what you think. I don't know if you noticed that the passenger seat has no adjustment like the driver, after you've done this then come back and comment

Um, wow! That last sentence comes as a shock. Here's the deal: if your front passenger headrest doesn't raise and lower exactly like the driver's side does, take it back to the dealer. The front headrests in my 09 LTZ both adjust identically. In fact, I keep them both raised a couple of inches at all times.

As a side note, I had one of the second row captain's chair headrests that was stuck (glued) in the lowered position when I bought the truck. I mean really stuck! A trip to the dealer solved that.

I truly hope you get this sorted out as it's obviously an issue with you and your truck. :shades:

Im thinking he meant the passenger seat does not move (7 way seating position) like the drivers
